Freddy Hoover 

Freddy Hoover (he/him) is a comic artist based in Philadelphia. Freddy makes dreamy, historical comics that explore the intersection between grief, love, and the tender horror of personhood. Combining  his love of medieval illuminated manuscripts, 19th century medical illustration, and post-punk, Freddy approaches narrative as an active conversation between the past and present. 

Freddy graduated Magna Cum Laude with a B.F.A in Sequential Art from the Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD) in 2025.

Currently, Freddy is looking to work in museum and library spaces--using his artistic perspective and thoughtful attention to detail in archival work and data management.
